Hello and welcome to my webpage!

My name is Mike Hanson and I collect antique soda bottles (pre-1959) marked with
town names in Southeast Texas such as Livingston, Lufkin, Corrigan, Trinity,
Cleveland, Humble, Liberty, Houston, Humble and surrounding areas. The types
of soda bottles I collect are Hutchinsons, Straight-Sides, Art Deco and painted labels.
My favorite bottles are those from Livingston, Texas.

Please let me know if you have a bottle or information about the hobby I might need,
even if it is not for sale. Also, I am glad to pass on any knowledge or information I
might have. My email address is: drpepper1885@suddenlink.net

Collecting antique bottles and digging into East Texas history (literally at times...) is
a hobby for me. The purpose of this website is to share what I've found and learned
with fellow collectors and history buffs. In addition to bottles, I will be adding pages
dedicated to local history (e.g.,sawmills, railroads, etc.). I hope that you enjoy.

If you are in the Livingston, Texas area, please take some time to visit the Polk County
Memorial Museum located on 514 West Mill Street. They have a wonderful collection
of artifacts from Livingston and surrounding areas and friendly and knowledgable
staff to help answer any questions you may have. When your done with the museum,
you should try the Courthouse Whistle Stop Cafe for some good country cooking!

As fun as this hobby is, it pales in comparison to the eternal beauty and salvation
found in Jesus Christ alone. His glory is beyond measure. He is Lord. Seek Him
and you will find Him. Draw near to Him and He will draw near to you. He loves
you. God bless and have a great day!
